About NEARI School
We want to help each student find the best ways to learn, relate, communicate effectively, and make a difference in the world.
They are resilient, smart, and committed to succeeding in school, but too often our students have had too few experiences with success. By integrating best practices in both education and treatment, NEARI School offers students from ages 7 to 22 an opportunity to succeed by promoting relationships, mastery, self-advocacy and self-empowerment while nourishing individual strengths.
We believe that all students can learn and succeed, even in those areas that have been a prior challenge.
It can be overwhelming at times, for you and your child. But rather than employing workarounds or solutions that “accommodate” learning problems, NEARI strives to remove impediments to learning, addressing neuro-developmental gaps and supporting individual learning styles and needs so that students can actively construct their own knowledge-base and achieve mastery in the classroom.
Our students arrive feeling like failures at school, when the reality is that their prior schools have failed them.
They come with multiple diagnoses, challenging behaviors, unresolved learning problems, socio-emotional issues and frequently, they have had too many failures and too few supports within traditional school settings. Our student-centered mission is to help each student find the best ways to learn, relate, communicate effectively, and make a difference in the world.
